Part 107 Training, Built by Operators Who Actually Fly

Quantum Dynamics is a premium UAS training academy and flight services company, rooted in four decades of professional aviation at Timberland Helicopters. We have trained more than 1,500 remote pilots, and we built the Flight Lab to train the exam the FAA is giving now.

New: The Flight Lab

On October 26, the FAA Changes the Test. We Built the Lab for It.

Starting October 26, 2026, the Part 107 exam pulls chart questions from live sectional charts instead of the canned figures in the testing supplement. Memorized answers stop working. Our Chart Reading Lab trains the skill the new test actually measures: reading a real chart, cold.

  • Regulations are now 48 percent of the exam under the current PSI blueprint, and the Lab weights your study time the way the FAA weights the test.
  • Built by instructors, not content farms. Every module comes from the same course that has put 1,500+ pilots through the exam.
  • The community stays free. Flight Lab is the premium trainer inside it, built for the exam the FAA gives now, and updated as the test evolves.

Step 01Build the Airspace

Construct the shelves and floors yourself until the picture makes sense.

Step 02Fly a Real Sectional

Work live charts, including the Jamestown sectional, question by question.

Step 03Practice Exam

Timed, scored rehearsal on the new format before your real test date.

Inside Flight Lab

Nine Labs. One Skill: Reading Any Chart

Latitude & Longitude Trainer

Four modes, including missions on real FAA figures. Miss a point and the Lab tells you exactly how far off you are, and which way to move. Feedback that teaches, not just grades.

Chart Symbols Explorer

37 symbols with plain explanations, FAA sources, and tap-to-locate challenges on real chart crops. Plus Symbol Sprint: 20 readings, 3 minutes, first answer counts.

Build the Airspace

A 9-step guided build of the Class A through G stack, plan view linked to the cross-section, until the shelves and floors are obvious at a glance.

Fly a Real Sectional

Missions on real FAA sectional figures, annotated the way working pilots read them: CTAF marks, surface areas, the phone number printed right on the chart.

Color-Safe Chart Reading

The Shape-First lab: grayscale missions on real figures, the Chart Vision simulator, and the printable Color Clue Card. Built for color-vision-deficient pilots, faster for every pilot.

Airspace Decoder

Airspace questions, decoded live: read the boundary, name the class, state the floor, the ceiling, and the entry rules, all from what the chart itself shows you.

Airport Operations

How airports actually run: markings, signage, traffic patterns, and the airport data blocks the exam loves, drilled until reading them is a reflex.

Radio Communications

Talk like a pilot: CTAF calls, tower phraseology, and frequency questions, practiced the way you will actually use them on frequency.

Practice Exam: 317 Questions

Four modes: a full 60-question, 2-hour test-day simulation; Quick 20 study mode; Figure Practice; and a Review Deck that resurfaces what you missed until it sticks.

Progress That Follows Your Work

Per-lab progress and mission scores, saved as you go. Find your weak topics, drill them, watch the numbers move.

Color-Safe by Design

Built for Every Pair of Eyes

Roughly 1 in 12 men has some form of color-vision deficiency, and charts are a wall of color. Flight Lab never asks color to carry the lesson. Every symbol, boundary, and airport is taught with a color-independent clue: a shape, a label, a number. The tower is the CT and the frequency, not the blue tint.

  • Chart Vision simulator: train in Normal, Deuteranopia, Protanopia, Tritanopia, or full Grayscale, across every lab.
  • Shape-First missions: 20 grayscale missions on real FAA figures, built to be solved by shapes and labels alone.
  • Printable Color Clue Card: every color-independent clue on one card for your kneeboard or study wall. Print it, keep it, use it on exam day prep.

If color has ever made a chart feel like a locked door, this is the trainer that hands you the other key. And if your vision is perfect, grayscale training still makes you faster: you stop hunting tints and start reading structure.

The printable QD Color Clue Card: one page of color-independent chart clues for towered airports, airspace classes, special use airspace, military training routes, Victor airways, terrain, and night lighting
